Why Did I Make It? The Spark Was “Easier, and with More Story”
While AI can create beautiful images, I often thought, “Coming up with prompts every time is tough…” and “Isn’t there a way to create a series of photos with a consistent theme, like someone is actually traveling?” That was the genesis of this project. I was particularly inspired by what you see on Instagram: cohesive feeds, sophisticated compositions, and above all, those dazzling photos that rack up the “likes.” I wanted to replicate that with AI and, crucially, add a narrative element.
The Core Principles I Poured into “flux-instagram-prompter”
When building this tool, I focused on these key aspects:
- Automated Prompt Generation with “Narrative”: I didn’t just want pretty pictures. I designed it so the AI (LLM) comes up with prompts that suggest a continuous story, for example, “A Japanese woman travels to famous landmarks around the world.” This brings consistency to the generated image set.
- The Pursuit of “Insta-worthiness”: Not just landscape photos, but images featuring a person (specifically, I envisioned a celebrity-like woman) with “that certain look” in terms of composition and atmosphere. I also made sure it automatically appends appropriate-sounding hashtags.
- A Natural, iPhone-like Finish: Overly CG-like images can be a turn-off, right? So, I emphasized a relaxed, realistic quality, as if the photos were taken with an iPhone.
- Integration with the FLUX.1 Model: I aimed for seamless integration to draw out the maximum potential of the latest high-performance FLUX.1 model.
- Accessibility (to a certain extent): Of course, some technical knowledge is required, but I’ve tried to make the setup instructions clear so that as many people as possible can experience this “AI-generated journey.”
The Heart of the Tool: How It Works Its Magic
This tool, which I consider an extension of myself, works hard behind the scenes like this:
- First, based on my initial instructions like “Create this kind of atmosphere!”, the LLM (I’m running Mistral 7B on a CPU!) conjures up a creative prompt.
- Then, it sprinkles some “Insta-magic” on top of that prompt (hashtags, shooting conditions, etc.).
- The perfected prompt is then sent to the image generation wizard, FLUX.1!
- Once a beautiful image is generated, it’s carefully saved to your specified folder.
- And here’s the clever part: it remembers the scene it just created, so the next image it generates will continue the story.
- After a short break, it tirelessly continues to create another “snapshot from the journey.”

Actually, by tweaking a variable called system_content, you can quite finely adjust the taste of the generated images (the subject’s appearance, clothing preferences, the atmosphere of the locations visited, the season, the overall luxurious feel of the photos, etc.).
